Holme Fen Weekly report 2-4-17
Meadows
Fish are starting to respond with a few out this week. Ryan Stubbing started the week off with a 34-08 caught from four strong winds between the islands. Things then went quiet for a while until Jimmy Reed started a feeding frenzy from the Dugout. Jimmy started his four day session on Wed baiting with 2kg of mainly chops on each spot each day, his action started on Saturday catching a 42lb Mirror plus a couple of stockies. After topping up the spots Jimmy had another 4 Saturday night including another 42, 41 & 31-08 and another stockie. Great angling Jimmy.
Poachers
A week when the smaller fish started getting caught. Seb Rhodes had a scale perfect Common at 20lb doing a quick over nighter following a work party. Andy Saddington’s group fished the weekend slot catching 5 stockies up to 17lb, the bigger ones didn’t put a show in but I guess that’s fishing!
