The Meadows weekly report 1st June 2015
This week saw Shimano filming their summer DVD on Holme Fen Fishery and without giving too much away they out performed expectations. Look out for the DVD in tackle shops around end of July; it’s not to be missed. Fox’s DVD is in tackle shops now check out chapter 6 also filmed at HFF. Over the weekend fish moved out of the pump hole area where they have been holding up for the last two weeks and were seen topping throughout the lake at dusk and dawn. This week’s anglers (we only fished for 2 days this week) done very well catching seven fish between them, most from margin or island spots. 5 of the 7 inc the 2 big ones were caught on the HFF mix (PCF Relish) available from the fishery. This week’s stars were Dan McLaren with a 48-04 PB and Nathan Winestein also with a PB of 40-06, others include 2×37, 34-14, 23-05 and 19-02. Holme Fen Fishery is now closed until 15th July when it reopens for public fishing. We would like to thank everybody who has taken part in the test fishing which through the chip and scan system has allowed us to create an accurate picture of fish stocks and weights. I will release a summary of these results next week.
