Holme Fen report wk starting 6th Aug
Meadows:
It was a Testing week on the Meadows, The beginning of the week proved quite hard with only two fish seeing the bank a 37 from the Reeds and 40 something from Party point. The midweek session was the exact opposite with many fish being caught. Ian had a 34-04 from the Lookout with Kieran catching a small 15 Common from the Reeds. Ben had a great session in Sunset point catching 46-12, 43, 41-12, 40-10, 38-04, 35-12 and 22. The were four from Party Point Double with Mick catching 43-06, 23 and 27 while Matt had a 16 Common. Barry had a brace of 40’s from Sunken Tree at 43-02 and 42-02. Then the weekend slot fished very hard again with only a single fish being caught by Dan at 23 from the Reeds.
Poachers:
I missed the Mon Tue guys so not sure how many they had. The midweek session produced 10 fish for Matt fishing the Pipe swim. Matts fish went 27-05, 26-05, 25-02, 23-10, 22-09, 21-05, 18-02, 14, 12 and 8. Jamie had two from the Takeaway at 30 and 24-04. Over the weekend Alan had a 24-02 and 16 from the Pipe, Jamie had a 19 from the Takeaway and his dad had a 19 from Poachers Point.
