Holme Fen fishery weekly report 24th April
Another decent weeks fishing on the Meadows with several PB’s and 6 fish caught over 40lb. Fish are coming from all over the lake at the moment giving everybody a chance to catch. The open water swims all have a chance on a long cast towards the middle, while there are plenty of fish showing around the islands, in the two bays either side of Party point and also in the pump hole. At the start of the week Tommy Henstock caught a 44-11PB and 36-05 fishing with Brad Hutson in the Beaches who caught 42-11, 42-05 and 35-09. Pasa aka Elvis also had 41-04 (picture) from the Dugout. As the week went on there were several smaller fish out from the Island double and Pump hole. The weekend saw Tom Bakers who booked the whole lake catching another 5 fish 4 inc 2 x 40’s and 2 x high 30’s from the Reeds and a 39-12 caught by Jack from Party point.
Poachers pool is also responding with fish coming out each week lately. There was a tutorial on the lake this week resulting in a 27 and 30lb mirror seeing the net as well as a couple of others slipping the hook at the net. I will post more when I receive the pictures
