Holme Fen fishery weekly report 17th April
It’s been a great weeks fishing at the Meadows Holme Fen Fishery with five fish coming out over 40lb to 51lb plus a further 14 fish thoughtout the week. Brad Greening started proceedings catching a 51-06, 33-12, 24-08 and 18lb stockie on the first two days from the beeches. Dave Black from Blackys custom rods selected to fish the pump hole after seeing a fish bosh out during the walk around. David was on for 4 days so had time to build the swim catching a 24-08, 34-04, 19 and finally a 39-06 PB. Ash Overson followed Brad into the Beeches and banked a 40-04 (picture) a new PB. Richard Sanders group managed 7 inc 48-08 and 39 fishing from party point and stalking in the two adjacent bays. Nick Loades moved into the Pump hole and his efforts were rewarded with a 48lb mirror (picture) that night. Things slowed down over the weekend with colder weather setting in however Jobi Bareham worked hard to bank a 39-14 PB fishing to a small clear spot at 90yards from Party point double.
Justin Dabrowski booked Poachers pool for a weekends fishing with his brother and was rewarded with three fish 32, 28 and 28 all caught from the takeaway swim fishing tight to the treeline.
