Holme Fen Fishery Report 30-7-17
Meadows
Jon Faupet fished a bar approx. 80yards from the Beach Double baiting heavily with our own Relish boilies to catch a 60-02 Mirror, now the second 60+ in the lake. Great fishing Jon. Jamie Tripprt, part of the same group had a 40-06 from the pump hole also using PCF Relish boilies. Mark Wheeler started off fishing party point catching 3 at 50-04, 37-10 and 36, Mark then moved to Harry’s and caught a further 4 at 49-12, 45-12, 33-04 and a heavily platted mirror at 24.Brendon O’Conner had a 42-06 from the Dugout while his fishing partner Steve Chapman caught a 47-02 from Party Point. Darrin Price had two from Four Strong Winds at 37-08 and 34-04, there were a further two from the same swim earlier in the week at 42 and 21. Chris Brown caught a well-deserved 50-08 from the Dugout while Will Martin had 7 from the Reeds at 44-08, 44, 43-06, 41-02, 34-14, 34 and 16. An exceptional weeks fishing for all involved.
Poachers Pool
Poachers fished hard Mon, Tue with only one fish seeing the bank from poachers point at 16lb. I’m not sure what was caught midweek as the missed the anglers before they left. Fri, Sat saw 3 fish on the bank with Ian Northwood catching a 28-10 from the Takeaway and Kevin Hanniffy catching two at 29 and 27-05 from Poachers Point
