Holme Fen Fishery – Meadows weekly report 6th June

The week started with Mark Shaw’s group booking the lake from Sunday for 6 days as an alternative to going to France and they were not disappointed. Mark lead the way banking Captain Jack at 59-12 on the second night he followed this up with another at 40-08 later in the week, both from the Reeds. Ant Fawell selected to fish the Dugout following its previous week’s form catching 50-02, 47-08, and 40-10. Alan Shaw had a couple from the Pump /Hole at 42-04, 32-12 and an 18 Stockie. Steve Williams fished the to bank a 47 and 29 with Brian Moores catching a 44-07 from Jakes. Both Mark and Ant went home with Holme Fen 50’s club T shirts to remember their catches. With the weather warming slightly from a cold northerly wind and air temp of about 10 deg the weekend boys found fish moving back to shallower water. James Howard (pictured) had a 35-08 from the Pump Hole early on his last morning, Simon Watson managed two from the beaches fishing to the left of the second island at 38 and 16 with John netting a 36 from the left hand bay fishing the Dugout
