Holme Fen Fishery – Meadows weekly report 18th July
1 x 60, 1 x 50’s, 5 x 40’s, 6 x 30’s.
Mon to Thur work party done a great job on Poachers Pool clearing a lot of the snags and making fishing much safer. The boys worked 5 hrs during the day and then fished the night with good results. Andy Blyth fished the Reeds catching a 49-12 PB plus two other high 30’s using PCF twisted Orange and Krill snowman over a bed of PCF Pickled Krill and pellet. Seb Rhodes had a 38 plus two other stockies of 21 and 22 from Party Point using HFF pellet and the new PCF Nutjob and Mark Shaw had at least one stockie from Harry’s. Paul Sellen fished the Beaches netting a UK PB Mirror at 51-09 following the capture of his UK PB Common just 4 days earlier, well done Paul. Over the weekend Tom Baker and Jack Smith, two of the lakes regulars returned and got straight back into the fish from the Reeds with Jack catching a trio of 40’s at 46-02, 45-11 and 40-02 while Tom caught 38-04 and 38-01 all on PCF Nutjob and HFF Pellet. Rob Ward selected to fish Party Point with Captain Jack coming out again at 61 and Ben Thompson had a nice 47-02 mirror and a stockie at 21 all on PCF HFF boilies.
