Folly syndicate Holme Fen Social.
Just back from our syndicates social/ fish in on Holme Fen- soon to be re named “Windy Fen”!! A great weekend despite the winds-again!! We even managed to bank a few of the residents. First off the mark was me, within an hour of getting the rods in, and a pristine hard fighting mirror of 31.12, from party point double.
It was “only a matter of time”, before lee Lee Birch, starte…d catching from his first pick of the draw, the Pump Hole. In a mad few hours he landed a small double self bred, 34.8,48, 35+.
Saturday dawned and Camo Dave Stephenson had sent the word out that he’d had a lump just on light,and a lump it was indeed- all 41lb of it.
Birchy managed another from the pump hole at 37+. Then it turned sour, with both him and me both losing a further two fish each due to hook pulls and cut offs.
Nonetheless, a great weekend was had on what, in my opinion, has to be THE best open access fishery in the country.
A great weekend, in great company with some proper lumps on the bank- now that’s carpy!!! Cheers guys
