Holme Fen Fishery weekly report 19th July 2015
Meadows Lake opened to public bookings for the first time on Wed 15th July. Anglers were excited with the anticipation of how it would fish after a 5 week break and weren’t disappointed with some good lumps seeing the bank. Most fish were seen and caught moving up and down the middle of the lake although there were a couple hooked and lost in the islands. Steve Gleeson banked Applesone of the most sought after fish in the lake at a 39lb 12oz, Steve (different Steve) caught a new PB at 39lb 4oz on PGF HFF boilie (caught on 4th June pre spawning at nearly 48lb!). Paul Pitchers and Craig Scot both had 36lb Mirrors also on PCF HFF Boilies. In addition to these there were a further 6 30lb+ Mirrors Caught.
